About SysRound
SysRound is a place to practice the system design interview out loud. An AI interviewer named Alex runs a full round with you, by voice or typing, on a shared whiteboard. At the end you get feedback on each of seven skills, the moments that mattered, and a model answer.
Who it is for
Software engineers preparing for system design rounds at mid, senior and staff level. Reading about system design is easy to do alone; the interview is a conversation. SysRound gives you the conversation, with someone who asks the follow-up questions.
How the reference pages are written
The question guides, concepts, comparisons, technology deep dives and guides are drafted with AI and then checked. We say so because you should know.
- Each page is written to a strict brief: explain how it works, the trade-offs to say out loud, and what interviewers ask next.
- The writer is told never to invent statistics, benchmarks or claims about how a specific company works, and to give ranges where numbers vary.
- Question guides go through a second AI reviewer that checks them against the question and rejects briefs that are vague or contradict themselves.
- We spot-check pages by hand, including the arithmetic in worked examples and documented defaults such as retention periods and size limits.
- An automated check rejects pages that are too short or too similar to other pages, so every page has to stand on its own.
- Every link to a question or concept is checked by tests, so pages only point at things that exist.
Pages can still be wrong. If something looks off, trust your judgment and check the official documentation. The pages show when they were last reviewed; the current reference pages were reviewed on November 5, 2026.
Where the questions come from
The questions are the ones candidates report from real onsites, collected from public interview write-ups and updated weekly. Company names next to a question mean candidates reported being asked something similar there. SysRound isn't affiliated with those companies and doesn't use their real questions or rubrics.
What the feedback is, and isn't
Feedback is AI-generated and can be wrong. It is for your own practice and doesn't predict a real interview or hiring outcome. Read the full terms and guidelines.
